Happiness was born at Ocean Road Hospital in Dar es Salaam on 23 June 1969, by parents Mary Particia Mandawa and Arthur Benedict Nakajumo. Happiness was the 5th born, with 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
She attended primary school in Dar es Salaam, and went on with her O-levels in Masasi, Mtwara. Thereafter she graduated from her A-Levels at Jangwani Secondary School, Dar es Salaam in 1990.
She later travelled to England, where she studied and worked for almost 10 years. During this time Happiness obtained her degree in PgDp. Interactive Computer Systems (ICS) from Middlesex University in 1997.
In January 2002 she joined the Royal Norwegian Embassy, to work as an Information and Communication Technology Coordinator.
Happiness lived her life as the name given her. She was happiness to those around her.
There was always a smile on her face and her eyes had a special sparkle.
She was a true friend to many, with a warm, loving and positive personality.
Happiness loved music and dancing, and would always try to include everyone to join in the fun. She contributed a lot to the positive environment at work and around her, and would always lend a hand in organizing social events or celebrations for others.
During the last two years Happiness went through a trying period of illness. She had to endure a lot of suffering, not being able to live her normal energetic and active life. Despite these hard times, she would keep her spirit up, and remember and encourage her family and friends to stay positive and keep smiling.
Happiness, your colleagues and friends in the Embassy, and all those who have worked with you here through the years, will miss you dearly. We will remember all the good memories, smiles and laughs we shared with you – and keep you in our hearts.
May you rest in peace!
